Jason Aldean ends concert early

Country superstar Jason Aldean ended a concert early over the weekend due to heat exhaustion and dehydration, according to reports. Aldean abruptly exited the stage Saturday night in Hartford, Connecticut, after performing just 13 songs; the venue said the show would be rescheduled for another date. “A rep has confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing heat stroke during last night’s performance,” a statement said Sunday morning. Aldean said he was given IV fluids, admitting that “it was pretty intense last night at the show. Anybody that was at the show knows how hot it was.” Upstate New York fans didn’t miss out, however, as Aldean performed a full 22-song set Friday at Bethel Woods and Sunday at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center). All other tour dates are expected to go on as scheduled.

Meet ‘The Golden Bachelor’

ABC has revealed the star of its first-ever senior citizen spinoff of “The Bachelor.” Gerry Turner, a 71-year-old grandpa from Indiana, will be “The Golden Bachelor” this fall. Variety reports Turner is a retired restaurateur who enjoys barbecues, pickleball, four-wheeling and Chicago sports. He married his high school sweetheart, Toni, in 1974, and raised two daughters together and now has two granddaughters. Toni died in 2017 after an illness and now, six years later, he’s ready to find love again. “The Golden Bachelor” will air Mondays at 10 p.m. on ABC starting in September.
